Rocky Top Lodge is located on Hwy 149, 1/4 mile north of the Lake City town limits - close enough to walk to town, but you can't see town from where we are. We are on a hill with a beautiful view of Roundtop and Red Mountain.
The Lake Fork of the Gunnison River is across the road and down the canyon from us. Several public fishing accesses are within a short driving distance.
We are within walking distance of a restaurant and the delicious Lake City Bakery. The Crystal Lake Trailhead is almost at our back door.
The town of Lake City is located in the heart of the San Juan range of the Rocky Mountains. It is 50 miles south of Gunnison, and 50 miles northwest of Creede - our two closest towns.
