Thank you for allowing us to introduce ourselves. We are Bob and Linda Inge (pronounced like "hinge" without the "h"),
owners and managers of Rocky Top Lodge, and native Texans who moved to Lake City in 1984.
When we first visited Lake City in June '82, we knew by the end of the week that we wanted to make it our home. Being native Texans, but rarely able to enjoy our beloved Rocky Mountains, we asked the kids, "How would you like to move to vacation?" Our oldest was 3 at the time, but already a real adventurer, so no problem there!
Making a living in Lake City, we were soon to learn, would present a challenge, but we noticed that Lake City could use a new lodging facility. No new ones had been built in over 30 years! We decided to supplement Bob's paper conservation business with new rental cabins.
In the following 2 years we decided on the perfect location and drew up plans for cabins that would be more than just cabins - where our guests could feel they were in their own mountain home.
We arrived in Lake City in July '84, and hammered, sawed, drilled and froze as we built what is now Rocky Top Lodge, and we've never regretted a minute of it. Now we enjoy providing you the kind of mountain experience we always enjoyed, and we consider it a privilege to be your hosts during your Lake City stay. Bob and Linda Inge
